Summary:
A year after the events of Kirkwall, the world of Thedas is on the brink of war. Having fled everything she knew Hawke has assumed a new identity and found a place for herself working as a herbalist for a dwarven merchant caravan.

Haunted by the 'temptations' of her past she has sworn off magic with no understanding of the potential physical and mental repercussions of such actions.

When Fenris, a now well known mage hunter finally catches up with her, he must choose between his loyalties to the Templar Order whom he now serves, or the woman he loved in secret for nearly ten years.

His decision will cost them dearly, forcing both to face inner demons in order to protect those they love.
